Ella Jean Jenkins

Ella Jean Jenkins, age 85 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 8:15 PM. She was born in Marion County, West Virginia on January 13, 1926 the daughter of Claudies and Exavia (Bolyard) Sigley. Ella was employed as a housekeeper at Westover Retirement Community for 25 years, retiring in 1990.

She is survived by one daughter, Glenna (Earl Sr.) Guthrie of Hamilton; two sisters, Leota McCauley of Painesville, Ohio and Kathaleen Miller of McDonald, Ohio; four grandchildren, Lynn (Matt Barnett) McDaniel, Jeanne (Jeffrey) Hensley, Earl (Lindsey Thompson) Guthrie Jr., and Christy (David Landry) Sawyers; and eleven great-grandchildren, Sabrina Barnett, Justin, Samantha, Josh, and Julian Hensley, Spencer, Derrick, Gavin, Savanna, and Kaitlyn Guthrie, and Brandon Sawyers. She was preceded in death by her parents and ten siblings.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
