Ellen Eloise Simpson

Ellen Eloise Simpson, age 60, of Ross, Ohio, passed away at Sycamore Springs Rehabilitation Center on Saturday December 20, 2008. She was born in Batesville, Indiana on July 18, 1948 the daughter of Lester and Mildred (Meyer) Mergenthal. Ellen was employed by Butler County Job and Family Services for the past 18 years. She was a beautician, and loved sewing and crafts. Ellen loved dogs and cats and they became part of her life.

She is survived by two brothers, Keith (Eileen) Mergenthal of Bath, Indiana and Kenneth (Penny) Mergenthal of College Corner, Indiana; and two sisters, Alice (Allen) Seals of Liberty, Indiana and Carol Schuler of Guilford, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Pamela Getz.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio on Tuesday, December 23rd at 7:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Snider officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society or your local animal shelter.
