Ellis Burke "Buck" Buchanan, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Friday, April 3, 2015. He was born in Sylva, NC on January 5, 1937 to Omar and Lena (Lewis) Buchanan. Ellis retired from Southwest Regional Water District.
He is survived by his son, Roger (Brenda) Geisler; daughters, Missy (Phil) Sackenheim, and Tonya (Manfred) Renner; 5 grandchildren, Roger Jr., Brian, and Grant Geisler; Megan and Brett Sackenheim; nephew, Danny Bradley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Buchanan; his son, James "Fuzz" Buchanan; and his parents.
Memorial service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11AM with Pastor Chad Grindstaff officiating. Private burial will follow at Darrtown Cemetery. Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Tridia Hospice.
