Elmer "Frank" Adams

Elmer Franklin “Frank” Adams, 65, of Fairfield, OH passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

He was born on May 3, 1960, in Fairfield, OH, the son of the late Elmer Robinson Adams and Pauline (Mullins) Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Holstein) Adams; son, Nicholas Franklin Adams; daughter, Ashley Ann Adams; grandson, Spencer Adams; brother, Paul Brian Adams (Samantha); sister-in-law Marietta (Dave) Southwood; brothers-in-law, Andrew (Paula) Holstein and Ralph Holstein; along with many precious nieces and nephews.

Frank was employed at Crown Plastics but throughout his career he was skillful as an Engineer specializing in electronics and mechanical designs. He also excelled in academics receiving degrees from Cincinnati State, University of Cincinnati and Wilmington College, always graduating in the top percentile of his class.

To know Frank was to know his guitar. He was seldom seen without one. He liked all kinds of music and loved playing guitar whether it was leading worship at church or in several bands. Frank played base and lead guitar for Willow Creek Band for nearly 10 years and most recently with Southland and Mad River Road with his very special band members: Susan, Kevin C and Kevin K. In addition to music, Frank enjoyed the outdoors camping, canoeing and riding his motorcycle.

Frank demonstrated his love for people by always helping others. He helped the homeless and countless times showed mercy for those in need. He devoted much of his life to cheering up residents in nursing facilities and children’s hospitals by playing his guitar. Frank was always involved in church functions and mission projects throughout his life, active with several local churches. Frank truly loved his mother, and he taught his brother to trust in God above all things and to never stop praying.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at East River Road Baptist Church, 4525 River Road, Fairfield, OH 45014.
