Elmer Keith Ray

Elmer Keith Ray, age 87 of Middletown, formerly of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 11, 2011. He was born in Emanuel, Kentucky on December, 24, 1923 the son of Alonzo and Laura (Rogers) Ray. Elmer was a veteran of World War II with the United States Navy from 1945 to 1947. On April 11, 1948 in Liberty, Indiana he married Tena D. Miley and she preceded him in death in 1996. He was employed in the shipping and receiving department at Martin Electric for seven years, retiring in 1988 and was a life member of the AMVETS Post #1983.

He is survived by three children, Herbert Ray of Hamilton, Tarri (Dave) Chenault of Middletown, and Cindy (Doug) Wolf of Hamilton; nine grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Louis Ray; and one sister, Margie Warren.
