Elsie Demonge

Elsie DeMonge, age 86 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Sunday, December 4, 2011. She was born in Hamilton on February 18, 1925 the daughter of Elmer and Alma (Allspach) Woodrey. Elsie was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. On March 2, 1946 in St. Veronica Church in Hamilton she married Kenneth DeMonge, and he preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by a daughter, Kendra (Bob) Walker of Hamilton; a son, Bob (Karen) DeMonge of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Cindy (Eric) Wilson of Sunman, Indiana, Jenni (Eli) Esser of Payton, Colorado, Matt (Heather) Walker, Barb (Mike) Trimble, Dave (Lisa) DeMonge, Chris (Faith) Walker, and Mark Walker, all of Hamilton; and eleven great-grandchildren, Joe, Josh, Caleb, Clare, Ephriam, Kendra, Luke, Emily, Drew, Abigail, and Zach. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Stanley and Calvin Woodrey.

Funeral service will be held at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder, 1302 Millville Avenue, on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 10:30am with Father Patrick Duffy officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Friday from 9:30am to 10:30am.
