Elsie Roush

Elsie Roush, age 96 of Hamilton passed away in Jewish Hospital-Kenwood on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:20 AM. She was born in Estill County, Kentucky on December 29, 1911, the daughter of Sidney and Kate (Winkler) Oglesby. Elsie was a member of the Walden Pond Church of the Nazarene. On November 28, 1936 in Liberty, Indiana, she was married to Earl Roush and he preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by two sons; Robert (Willa) Roush of Franklin, Ohio and Glendon (Judith) Roush of Hamilton; one daughter, Patricia Kaiser of Hamilton; one brother, Harold Oglesby of Hillsboro, Ohio, also seven grandchildren, Robert (Betty) White, Steven (Sherri) Kaiser, Karen (Kenneth) Dennen, Debra (Brad) Clark, Kevin (Patricia) Roush, Michael (Wendi) Roush and Virginia (John) Pemberton and also thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Jim Kaiser in 2004; three brothers, Boyd, Norris and Ealon Oglesby and five sisters, Cordelia Schoenberger, Ovie Robertson, Elizabeth Walton, Allie Clay Hibbard and Edna Oglesby.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 1 PM with Rev. Harville Duncan, Pastor of the Walden Pond Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 Noon to 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walden Pond Church of the Nazarene.
