Elsie C. Skipper

Elsie C. Skipper, age 90 of Hamilton passed away at Butler County Care Facility on Tuesday, January 4, 2011. She was born in Clanton, Alabama on November 25, 1920 the daughter of Eldon Lee and Mattie E. (Jackson) Traywick. Elsie was retired from Cincinnati Electric. She was an avid bowler. Elsie enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Elsie was a member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton.

She is survived by a son, Wayne (Jo Ann) Skipper; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a longtime companion, Eugene Sibert. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman Skipper in 1979; a son, Dwight Skipper; and four brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Mr. Jack Young officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the local humane society.
