Emma Jean Cress

Emma Jean Cress, age 90 of Middletown, passed away at Arlington Pointe on Saturday, June 30, 2018.Emma was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 10, 1927 to Dixon Manard Halcomb and Mabel Grace (Holcomb) Halcomb. Emma interests included Bowling and playing cards.

Emma is survived by John Mitchell Cress and Gary Wayne (Olivia) Cress; one brother, Leroy E. (Helen) Halcomb; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Mitchell (Cristi) Cress, Kari Nicole (Matt) Harmon, and Khristina Tiffany Cress; 3 great grandchildren, Brady Mitchell (Rylie) Cress, Hannah Cress, Dylan Gray and Ryan Alex Cress; 1 great great grandson, Colt Mitchell Cress; and five long time close friends, Noreen Cress, Eva Ray, Ruby Landis, Ina Ponder and Lois Hill; and many other nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Emma was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Cress; her parents, Dixon Manard Halcomb and Mabel Grace Halcomb; one brother, Earl T. Halcomb; and one sister, Jewel Collins.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 12:00 PM. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church.
