Emma Jean Dunn

Emma Jean Dunn, age 73 of Oxford, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Emma was born in Massilon, Ohio on October 12, 1952 to Eugene and Beverly Nicewander. On March 3, 1972 she married the love of her life, Shawn Dunn and on March 14, 1980, they both received Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Together they served the Lord planting a church in Eastern Ohio and pastoring for 24 years in several cities. For the past 16 years, they have traveled the country representing Victory Baptist Press of Milton, Florida, a ministry of printing the gospel in its simplest form for free distribution. VBP is a ministry of Victory Baptist Church, where Shawn and Emma are members. Emma was a proud wife and mom and above all, loved the Lord her Savior. While serving Him, she met and ministered to hundreds who love her dearly.

Emma is survived by her husband of 54 years, Missionary Shawn W. Dunn; her daughters, Wendy (Ron) Pittman and Lori (Steven) Ash; her sisters, Joan (the late Richard) Hinkle and Susan (the late Steven) Hetzer; and her various nieces and nephews.  Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Beverly Nicewander; and her unborn grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bible-Way Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Funeral service will be held at the church on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Tim Fellure of Victory Baptist Church of Milton, FL officiating.
