Emma M. Mcintire

December 18, 1939 — January 19, 2008

Emma M. McIntire, age 68 of Hamilton passed away at the Fort Hamilton Hospice Unit on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 1:43 PM. She was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on December 18, 1939 the daughter of Luther and Kelly (Conrad) Pierson. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, hunting and loved children. She was a member of the Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God. On August 15, 1972 in Jellico, Tennessee she married Homer C. McIntire, they were married for 28 years when he passed away on March 21, 2000.

She is survived by a son, Elwood Mitchell Mills of Hamilton; two step-children, Mike McIntire and Cheryl Lovejoy both of Hamilton; a grand-daughter, Jahaza Lynn Campbell of Clearwater, Florida; two sisters, Rachel Spencer of Hamilton and Christine McWhorter of Georgetown, Kentucky; three brothers, Junior Pierson and Arvil Creech both of McKee, Kentucky and Clarence (Emma Jean) Pierson of Hamilton; two nephews whom she loved very much, Bobby Duncan and Dennis Spencer, both of Hamilton; one special great-niece, Shannon Duncan; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Billy Pierson; one sister, Illa Madden; and a great-nephew, Scott Duncan whom she loved dearly.

Funeral Service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Willard Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Emma will be sadly missed by her family and friends forever and always. We love you Emma.
