Emmitt Colwell, Sr, age 65 of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on September 23, 1946, the son of Herbert and Isma Colwell.
He is survived by his wife, Robbin Kay (Garrod) Colwell; children, Melissa (Nate) Colwell, Jason (Aleesha) Colwell, Emmitt (Holly) Colwell, Jr, Shane (Helen) Colwell, Brandon (Ginger) Colwell, Holly (Moussa) Kante and Johnathan (Melissa) Colwell; siblings, Wayne Colwell, Cathleen Mayo, Theresa Campbell, Phyllis Dickie, Alice Farley and Herbert Colwell, Jr; 32 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings.
Visitation will be 11am until time of service (12noon), Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home; 1350 Millville Ave. Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery with Pastor David Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the West Chester Hospital; 7700 University Drive, West Chester, Ohio 45069.
