Esther Marie Cain

Esther Marie Cain, age 86 of New Miami, passed away in Fort Hamilton Hospital on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 9:50 PM. She was born in Hamilton on April 3, 1920, the daughter of Jentry and Laura (Peacock) Cain. Esther was a member of the New Miami Wesleyan Church, the VFW Post #7670, a veteran of World War II with the United States Army from 1943 to 1945, was employed as a clerk in claims for Ohio Casualty for thirty-five years retiring in 1980 and then was the director of the New Miami Food Pantry for ten years.

She is survived by one nephew, Timothy (Kim) Moore of Richmond, Kentucky; one niece, Laura Ann Moore of Hamilton; six great nieces and nephews, Jentry, Katrina, Tara, Addie, Alex and Anthony and a great-great niece, Ava. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters; Martha Moore, Ruth Impson and Betty Cain.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funera Home, 1350 Millville Avenue on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Roger Shaw, Pastor of the New Miami Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM.
