Ethel L. (Barnes) Angel

Ethel L. (Barnes) Angel, age 72 of Hamilton went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 7:45 PM. She was born in West Union, Ohio on July 3, 1938 the daughter of Harold D. and Ella Mae (Johnson) Barnes. Ethel was employed as director of the dietary department at Mercy Hospital, North and South, for 30 years. On September 11, 1954 in Hamilton she married James E. Angel, and he preceded her in death in 1997. Ethel loved watching TBN.

She is survived by a son, James "Doug" Angel of Hamilton; a grandson, James Michael (Cody) Angel of Hamilton; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Lynn Marie Angel; a brother, Richard Denver (Catherine) Barnes of Hudson, Florida; a sister, Kathryn Dingman of Hamilton; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter, Vickie Lynn Angel.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Vern Hartman of Hamilton Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Hamilton for their care and concern.
