Ethel Couch

Ethel Couch, age 88 of Hamilton passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 9:40 AM. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on April 24, 1919 the daughter of William and Maggie Wagers. Her mother passed away and her father remarried when Ethel was eight years old. She was raised by her Mother Martha (Hoskin) Wagers in Manchester, Kentucky. Ethel married Farmer Couch on April 3, 1944 and raised three daughters. She was a devoted member of the Jehovah Witness Congregation and was recently blessed to see and be a part of her 5th Generation.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cleo (Joseph) Crawford of Hamilton and Rosetta (Jim) Wiggins of Duncan, Oklahoma; brothers Mahan and William (Carol) Wagers; sister Martha (Millard) Garrett; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other loved ones whom she greatly treasured. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Loretta Crawford; five infant siblings; a sister, Cleo Hoskins; and two brothers, Alfred and James Wagers.

Funeral Service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Ethel’s family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers and to Vitas Hospice. She was well taken care of, loved, blessed by Jehovah and will be missed by all.
