Ethel Flick, age 85 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at 4:10 AM. She was born in Pike County, Kentucky on September 16, 1924 the daughter of Jerry and Dora (Jones) Philpot. Ethel was a member of New Miami First Church of God. On April 26, 1941 in Hamilton, she married Ralph H. Flick and he preceded her in death in 2006.
Ethel was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who is survived by three sons, Ralph "Skeets" (Margaret) Flick, Dwain (Shirley) Flick, and Jerry (Debbie) Flick, all of Hamilton; a daughter, Regina (Larry) Barger of Hamilton; 14 grandchildren, Amy Roque, Lisa Hampton, Craig (Kelli) Flick, Sherri (Tim) Less, Brian (Janine) Flick, Dawn (Bernie) Dickman, Kymn (Jonathon) Bennett, Traci Flick, Jennifer (Jeff) Smith, Brandy Flick, Jerry Flick Jr., Jeremy Vaughn, Kristy (Gary) Clemmons, and Jeffrey (Natalie) Barger; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Ollie Clark, Bama Milsap, Gladys Marcum, and Ethel’s twin Edna Stapleton; and six brothers, Charlie, Lloyd, Bradley, Smith, Dan, and Chester Philpot.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Earl Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
