Ethel M. Mayers

Ethel M. Mayers, age 96 of Hamilton, passed away at Birchwood Care Center on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Ethel was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 17, 1922 to Howard and Clara M. Holderbach. Ethel was a WWII Air Corp Veteran, where she met the love of her life, Donald W. Mayers. She retired from Ohio Casualty Insurance.

Ethel is survived by her children, Ann Mayers, Linda Mayers and Donald Mayers Jr.; her daughter-in-law, JoEllen Mayers; her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 74 years, Donald W. Mayers; and her son, Richard Mayers.

Ethel donated her body to science. A memorial service will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s and St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church.
