Eugene T. Lawson

Eugene Thomas Lawson, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014. He was born in Cincinnati on March 30, 1930 to Norman and Jean (Gleason) Lawson. Eugene loved football, and played for 16 years of his youth. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. On September 5, 1955 in Revere, MA he married Mary Rizzo, and shortly afterward they moved to Oxford, OH so Eugene could play football for Miami University. He enjoyed dancing, and was involved in several dancing clubs. Eugene especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and was the life of any party.

He is survived by his wife, Mary R. Lawson; children, Mark E.(Cheryl) Lawson, Marla A. (Wayne) Morey, Michael A. (Anna R.) Lawson, Marlan A. "Andy"(Jeanne) Lawson, Margo E. (Billy) Cox; grandchildren, Abe Lawson, Josey Lawson, Caleb Lawson, Maranda Lawson, Rachael Lawson, Alysha Lawson, Delaney Pressler, and Claire Cox; great-grandchildren, Leanna Lawson, Mikayla "Mikee" Lawson,and Cash E. Lawson; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; uncles, and aunts.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Ave., on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Larry Tharp, celebrant. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue.
