Eugene Richardson

Eugene Richardson, age 79 of Hamilton passed away at Tri-County Extended Care Center on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 2:09 AM. He was born in Estill County, Kentucky on February 16, 1929 the son of Albert and Cleona (Lynch) Richardson. Eugene was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1961. He was employed as a diesel mechanic at Dixie Ohio Express. On November 5, 1951 in Hamilton he married Ruth L. Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth L. Richardson of Hamilton; five children, Gary Richardson, Larry Richardson, Rick Richardson, Steve Richardson, and Robin (Phillip) Gibbs, all of Hamilton; six grandchildren, Derek Lawrence, Brittney, Josh and Roscoa Richardson, Joey McCoy, and Chad McIntosh; two brothers, Billy (Janie) Richardson of Tennessee and Roger (Faye) Richardson of Kentucky; and a sister Doris Abshear of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tony Richardson; and four siblings.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., on Friday, October 3 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Saul Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 AM.
