Eugene "Blue" Thompson

Eugene "Blue" Thompson, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Southwest Ohio on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. He was born in Clay County, Kentucky on August 23, 1935 the son of Irvin and Flora (Cope) Thompson. On December 31, 1971 in Hamilton he married Veeda Smallwood. Blue was employed as a bus driver for Greyhound for numerous years, retiring in 2012. He was a veteran of Korean War with the United States Army from 1952 to 1955.

He is survived by his wife, Veeda Thompson of Hamilton; five children, Charlene (Larry) Atwood, Tim McClanahan, Tom McClanahan, Kathy Adkins, and Loretta Bundy; three siblings, Bernice Clemmons, James (Carolyn) Thompson, and Novella (Don) Hitt; eleven grandchildren, Monice Lynn (Paul) Hill, Daniel Wesley (Sue) Adkins III, Matthew Ryanb (Victoria) Adkins, Shawn McQill, Kenneth Lee Bundy, Tyler James Bundy, Bubba Hill, Jessie Hill, Quinton Boggs, MaKaylynn Swanner, and Emma Lillix Phillips; six great grandchildren, Ruby Sophia Hill, Breanna Nicole Adkins, Matthew Ryan Adkins, Jr., Titan Alexander Adkins, Ellie May Adkins, and Sadie Grace Adkins; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Tim Cole of Millville Avenue Church of God officiating.
