Eulene Whisman

Eulene "Petie" Whisman went to Heaven on June 9, 2019. She was born December 16, 1931 in St. Charles, Virginia to Lillie and Edward Bush. She married Carl H. Whisman on November 6, 1948 in Harlan Country, Kentucky. Carl preceded her in death in 2007.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlene (Arnol) Elam, granddaughter, Tracie Lynn (Eric) Walsh, and great-grandson, Ryan Dalton Frost. She also leaves nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-law and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister (Mescal Bunch) and brother (Larry Bush).

Petie was a long-time resident of the Hamilton/Fairfield area and greatly enjoyed her employment at Sealtest Ice Cream Plant and Liberty Sheet Metal. After her retirement, she focused her attention on the happiness of her family.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a warm and compassionate person who loved her family and made friends easily. She treasured those individuals and embraced every moment that she spent with them.

Petie had a big heart and loved to share her fondness of cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting and ceramic making with others.

Until we meet again, we pray that God will wrap His loving arms around you and bring you peace to your heart. Those we love and lose are no longer where they were before; they are now wherever we are.

The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Hamilton for the compassionate care that was given to Petie during her stay at the facility.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice of Cincinnati or Cancer Society in Eulene’s name.
