Evelyn Carpenter

Evelyn Carpenter, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She was born in Peppertown, Indiana on May 10, 1931 the daughter of Harry and Cecile (Bryant) Fox. On October 13, 1949 she married Herman Carpenter. Evelyn was a member of Calvary Christian Center.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Carpenter; four children, Marie (Ken) Campbell, Martha (Stephen) Petrak, Carol (Jim) Warren, and Ken (Diane) Carpenter; three siblings, Ruth (Bill) Wendt, Harry (Laurie) Fox, and Pearl (Tom) Simmering; six grandchildren, Christy (Rich) Toumberlin, Becky (Rob) Wiseman, Sherry Carpenter, Jennifer (Jason) Asher, Jonathon (Lindsay) Nunn, and Missy (Steve) Capps; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bill Carpenter; six siblings, Gladys Estaban, Nora Smith, Jessie Adkins, Ethel Lee, Charlotte Barajas, and Harvey Fox; and grandson, Justin Asher.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Darrtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
