Evelyn M. Himmelhaver, age 83 of Hamilton passed away at Vitas of Dayton on Friday, October 31, 2008 at 5:10 AM. She was born in Hamilton on June 3, 1925 the daughter of Robert and Lillian (Tegeder) Frazier. Evie was a 1944 graduate of Ross High School. She was employed as a secretary for Dr. Eric Ringel for 27 years, retiring in 1992. On August 3, 1946 in Hamilton she married Claude M. Himmelhaver, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1981.
Evie was a very loving and caring person who was the happiest in the company of her family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Melissa (Terry) Kilbarger of Middletown; two grandchildren, Korbin and Kaylee Kilbarger; brother, William "Bill" Frazier of Hamilton; sister, Betty Walls of Union, Ohio; nephew, William "Bud" Walls of Convoy, Ohio; niece, Jane Grubbs of Union, Ohio; and her extended family, which includes the residents of Belle Towers where she resided for the past eight years. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Pastor William "Bud" Walls officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Richard Sternberg and Vitas of Dayton for their loving care and support.
