Everett O. Rumley, age 71 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 4:44 PM. He was born in Pulaski, Virginia on May 3, 1937 the son of Burnie and Etta (Fortner) Rumley. Everett was a retired roofer.
He is survived by his companion, Lorraine Stewart of Hamilton; two sisters, Gertrude Rumley and Shirley (Bob) Wells, both of California; and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Lee Rumley, Elgene Rumley, and Louis Rumley.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Millville Cemetery on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Visitation will be held at the cemetery from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
