Fannie L. Murphy, age 89 of Hamilton, passed away at her residence on Friday, May 26, 2017. She was born in Monticello, Kentucky on June 19, 1927 the daughter of Lee and Lois (Brown) Doss. On June 5, 1973 in Newport, Kentucky she married Donald Murphy and he preceded her in death in 1994. She was employed as a sales clerk for Rink’s for twenty-one years, retiring in 1984.

She is survived by two daughters, Alma (Steve) Brandenburg and Sheila (Terry) Six, both of Hamilton; one sister, Judy (Cecil) McCreary of Hendersonville, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Charles, Debbie, Sean, Jeff, Colleen, Charlie, Johnny, Gary, and Scott; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Patricia Binegar, Dannie Walden, and Gregory Murphy; and eight siblings.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 1:00 PM with her grandson, Gary Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Hospice of Southwest Ohio for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
