Firmin J. Hingsbergen, age 93 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Friday, November 9, 2018. He was born in Hamilton on September 13, 1925 the son of Hubert and Stella (Theobald) Hingsbergen. He was a veteran of WWII with the USN from 1943 to 1945. Firmin was a dedicated City of Hamilton Firefighter. On September 6, 1947 in Hamilton he married Dorothy Evans and she preceded him in death in 2007.
He is survived by four daughters, Sandra Harkleroad, Beverly (Paul) Wagers, Janet (Roger) Butner, and Pam (Patrick) Fackey; one brother, Dan (Mary) Hingsbergen; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Rosemary Hingsbergen; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death in by his parents and eight siblings, Merle, Hubert JR. "Brub", Francis, Donald, and Melvin Hingsbergen, Celeste Engel, Betty Watkins-Hebauf, and Mildred King.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Cincinnati for all their care and support.
