Floreda Mae Reeder

Floreda Mae Reeder, age 88, of Hamilton, passed away at Hawthorne Glen Nursing Center on Friday, May 27, 2011. She was born in Hamilton on August 17, 1922 the daughter of Palace and Mildred (Bennett) Wilson. Floreda was employed as a clerk at Hamilton Municipal Garage for 18 years retiring January 31, 1994. She was a life member of VFW # 1069 auxiliary. Floreda enjoyed traveling with her family, especially to Florida, Las Vegas, and Hawaii, and meeting daily with her coffee club at McDonalds. In May 1941 in Hamlton she married William F. Reeder who preceded her in death in November 1971.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Reeder of Hamilton; her grandchildren, David (Deana) Reeder of College Corner, Indiana and Rebecca Reeder of Cincinnati; great-grandchildren, David, Jamie, and Madi; a brother, Darrell Wilson of Millville; and a sister, Wilma (William) Ware of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Bryant and Palace Wilson; daughter-in-law Janet Reeder; a brother, Marvin "Turkey Bird" Wilson; and two sisters, Ruth Cox and Melva Richardson.

Visitation will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., on Tuesday, May 31st from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity. Floreda’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Harry Davin and staff for their wonderful care through the years and to the staff of Hawthorne Glen for their wonderful care.
