Forest 'Cotton" Mcguire

Forest "Cotton" McGuire, age 72 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 12:58 PM. He was born in Hamilton on January 12, 1940 the son of Fairy and Gertrude (Alcorn) McGuire. Forest was the owner/operator of Dixie Lounge and McGuire’s Used Cars, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Eagles and Moose Lodges.

He is survived by three sons, David Denzil McGuire, Ricky Dean McGuire, and Lester Lunsford; a grandson, Shane McGuire; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four siblings, Doyle McGuire, Garnett McGuire, Phyllis McGuire, and Annabelle Davis. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Darryl McCoy of Fairfield Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
