Frances H. Elliott, age 89 of Fairfield passed away at her residence on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 12:30 PM. She was born in Okeana on December 1, 1922 the daughter of John and Pauline (Bakic) Ondrovich. On January 24, 1970 in Hamilton she married Ezra L. Elliott, and he preceded her in death in 2007. Frances was employed as a sorter for Champion International Paper and Sorg Paper Company for a number of years, retiring in 1985. After the death of her husband, Frances moved to Texas and was an active member of the Fort Worth, Texas White Settlement Senior Citizens and the Red Hat Society. She was a former member of the Eagles, Moose, VFW, Elks, American Legion, and Amvets in Hamilton. Frances currently attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a former member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Loman of Hamilton and Helen (Lee) Williams of Hawley, Texas; three grandchildren, David (Andrea) Loman, Rodney (Michelle) Egbert, and Pamela (Jerry) Bolding; and five great-grandchildren, Jordan Egbert, Jewel Egbert, Hannah Loman, Zachary Loman, and Carley Bolding. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frank Ondrovich and George Ondrovich; and three sisters, Ann Metcalf, Lucille Sears, and Marcella Blount.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Road, on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Larry Tharp, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati or the American Heart Association.
