Frances Augusta Kirby, age 90 of Hamilton passed away at Venetian Gardens on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 6:46 PM. She was born in Stockton, Ohio on September 29, 1919 the daughter of Austin and Hannah (Hogan) Amiot. Frances was employed as a cafeteria worker for Hamilton City Schools and was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons, Steven (Susan) Kirby of Hamilton, David (Cindy) Kirby of Fairfield, and Larry Kirby of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; two daughters, Carol (Mike) Gambrell of Hamilton and Jan (Ron) Hazenfield of Goshen; eleven grandchildren, Ryan, Kelly, Kristopher, Michelle, Cassi, Brandon, Scott, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Jordanne, and Beau; and a great-grandchild, Reese. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William and Lawrence Amiot; three sisters, Irene Amiot, Mary Lubbers, and Evelyn Timler; and her former spouse, George Kirby.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton Street, on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 1:30 PM with Fr. Michael Pucke, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to National Right to Life, Attn: Development, 512 10th St. NW, Washington, DC 20004.
