Frances Miller

Frances Miller, age 96 of Hamilton passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 9:09 AM. She was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on June 8, 1911 the daughter of William and Molly (Culton) Smith. On September 26, 1927 in Newport, Kentucky she married Raymond H. Miller, and he preceded her in death in 1967.

She is survived by a son, Gerald (Carolyn) Miller of Hamilton; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter and son-in-law, Molly and James Lakes; two brothers, Charles and Everett Smith; and three sisters, Nan Jones, Macy Durham, and Cora Powell.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 12:00 noon with Chaplain Stan Dunk of Ft. Hamilton Hospital officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The family extends a special thank you to the staffs of Golden Years and Hospice of Cincinnati for their care and concern. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
