Frances Shevella Irene Yates

Frances Shevella Irene Yates, 61, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on March 1, 2026.

Frances was a strong, spunky, and resilient woman whose love for her family was the center of her life. She was a devoted mother to Nicole (Phillip) Trumbull and Kayla (Lisa) Smith. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Julia and Noah Trumbull, and two other grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

She was the beloved sister of Ruby Digonno and Archie Smith. A loved Aunt to her nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her late husband, Jerry Yates; her sons, Christopher Harding, Derryck Moore, and Steven (Lee) Sears; her parents, Doranto (Bud) and Dorthey Smith; and her brother, Richard Smith.

Frances will be remembered for her strength, her spirited personality, and the deep love she had for those closest to her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the staff at Huntington Court and Bella Care Hospice for their out pouring love and support during the last few months. We cannot thank everyone individually but the staff’s stories and other residents stopping in to say their final goodbyes to her. Has meant the world to her family.

Funeral and Visitation Services will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013 on Friday, March 6, 2026. Visitation from 4-5pm, Funeral service at 5pm.
