Frank J. Hoerst Jr., age 83 of Middletown passed away in Hospice of Dayton on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 8:10PM. He was born in West Chester on October 15, 1925, the son of Frank and Matilda (Fink) Hoerst Sr. Frank was employed as a milkman for French Bauer Dairy for twenty-two years and then was employed as a mechanic for Edgewood School District for fifteen years retiring in 1995. He was a veteran of WWII with the United States Army from 1944 to 1946, a member of the Lions Club of Trenton and a member of the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church. On April 15, 1948 in Newport, Kentucky, he was married to Imogene Charlotte Clemons.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Charlotte Hoerst of Middltown; three sons; Frank "Joey" (Marla) Hoerst III of Marietta, Ohio, Thomas (Brenda) Hoerst of Hamilton and David (Denise) Hoerst of Eaton; two daughters, Diane (Jay) Francis of Palm Harbour, Florida and Kathleen (Ben) Bass of Trilby, Florida; one brother, Norbert Hoerst of Cincinnati; two sisters, Celesta Wessler of West Chester and Norine Duvelius of Monroe and also seven grandchildren and three great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James "Jip" Hoerst in 2008 and two sisters, Katherine Panko and Julia Harold.
A memorial service will be held in the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, 508 West State Street, Trenton, Ohio on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 11AM with Rev. Charles Testas, Pastor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Hospice of Dayton or Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church.
