Frank Nelson Manning, age 81 of Hamilton passed away at the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati on Saturday, September 29, 2012. He was born in Bowen, Kentucky on March 27, 1931 the son of James L. and Mary Belle (Adams) Manning. Frank was a veteran of the Korean Conflict from 1951-1954. He was a graduate of University of Cincinnati and was a self employed furniture technician. On November 19, 1983 in Covington, Kentucky he married Christi Hancock and she preceded him in death on August 16, 2012.
He is survived by his sister, Thelma Allen of Lexington, Kentucky; his son Gregory Frank Steele of Russia; a granddaughter, Jessica Tucker and great grandson, Bailey Tucker, both of Florence, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven Nelson Manning; and a brother, Gene Manning.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Dianne Steelman officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
