Frank P. Puma

Frank P. Puma, age 77 of Hamilton passed away in Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 2:25 PM. He was born in Hamilton on April 16, 1932 the son of Jasper and Frances (Liuzza) Puma. Frank was a 1950 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School, was past president of the Catham Club, a member of the American Legion Eaton, Ohio Post, was a veteran of the Korean War with the United States Navy from 1951-1954, and was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. He was employed as a scheduler for Fisher Body for 33 years, retiring in 1988. On June 27, 1953 in Hamilton he was married to Joan Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Puma of Hamilton; three sons, Thomas (Cindy) Puma of Hamilton, David (Carol) Puma of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Michael (Angela Rakis) Puma of Cincinnati; two daughters, Cheryl (Art) Fiehrer of Hamilton and Kathleen (Tim) Krucki of Finley, Ohio; two sisters, Conzetta Millilo and Mary (Tom) Strodtbeck, both of Hamilton; and sixteen grandchildren, Jared (Lindsey) Fiehrer, Bret Fiehrer, Kym Fiehrer, Tommy (Jill) Puma, Jennifer Puma, Aaron (Stephanie) Puma, Tony Puma, Angela Puma, Matthew Puma, Michael Puma, Marc Puma, Mitchell Puma, Kelly Krucki, Kevin Krucki, Krystan Krucki, and Kayce Krucki. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Josephine Grafft, Nena Brunner, Rosie Puma, and Pauline Puma.

Prayers will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Fr. Stanley Neiheisel, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Badin Catham Club, 571 New London Road, Hamilton 45013.
