Fred Plowman, Sr., age 95 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, March 30, 2013. He was born in Irvine, Kentucky on February 10, 1918 to William and Serilda (Morris) Plowman. Fred was a member of the 3-Cs before joining the Army in 1943 where he served in Germany and France. He married Grace (Robbins) Plowman on July 6, 1946 in Hamilton, Ohio. Fred retired from General Motors in 1978 after 31 years.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Plowman; children, Sharon (Michael) Daniels and Fred (Kathy) Plowman, Jr.; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and siblings, Raymond Plowman and Opal Bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 11 siblings.
Visitation will be 6-8pm, Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. Funeral service will be 10am, Thursday, April 4, 2013, also at the funeral home on Millville Ave with Pastor Holbert Brandenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Butler County Coon Hunters Club 200 Warwick Rd, Hamilton 45013.
