Frederick M. Yordy, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away at Bethesda North Hospital on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Frederick was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 8, 1939 to the late Edward and Janet (Fenzel) Yordy. Frederick was a proud graduate of Hamilton Catholic School, class of 1957. After graduation, he briefly enlisted in the U.S. Army before transferring to the U.S. Air Force. He would serve for over 20 years which included tours in Korea and Vietnam. After retirement from active duty, he continued to serve his country by working at the Air Force Institute of Technology. He enjoyed traveling, playing softball and bowling, but above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Frederick will be dearly missed by his children, Edward Yordy, Frederick (Leslie) Yordy and Tania (Tod) Menger; his step-children, Linda (John) Shelley and Geraldine (Ed) Powell; his grandchildren, Jillian (Dustin) Petersime, Melanie (Travis) Bolanger, Donald Bussinger, Kara Osborne, Katelyn LeJeune, Brett Yordy and; his great-grandchildren, Lielah Yordy, Presley Petersime, Nathan Bolanger, Maci Bolanger, Salem Bolanger and Flora Bussinger; his sister, Yvonne Rogers; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and his beloved cats, Pepper and Kenny
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Douglas Yordy; his step-daughter, Mary Willard and his cat, Snickers.
Graveside services will take place on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11:30 at St. Stephen Cemetery, 1314 Greenwood Ave, Hamilton, OH 45011.
