G. Richard Fenster

G. Richard Fenster, age 72 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on March 12, 2017. Richard was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 23, 1944 to George Hazen Fenster and Petrina Viola (Savari) Fenster. He was a graduate of Greenhills High School in 1962, and a graduate of University of Cincinnati, college of Pharmacy in 1967. Richard was employed at Fort Hamilton Hospital for over 30 years retiring in 2013. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, travel and fine cigars & scotch. On March 4, 1983, in Hamilton he married Janis Redden.

Richard is survived by his wife of 34 years, Janis Fenster; five children, Richard Fenster Jr., Jennifer (Mark) Kinnett, Mike (Kelly) Fenster, Ryan Helton, Randall (Kara) Helton; 13 grandchildren, Joshua (Carly), Jacob, Lauren (Connor), Nick, Olivia, Adam, Michael, Abby, Kaylynn, Riley, Andrew, Alexa and Jaxin; and two brothers, Jim (Linda) Fenster and Bob (Natalie) Fenster; and a loving extended family. Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday March 17, 2017 at 10:00AM with Rev. Wendell Coning officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
