Gary Cox

Gary R. Cox, age 63 of Trenton, passed away at Atrium Medical Center on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 06:58AM. He was born in Hamilton on December 25, 1950 to Harold and Mary Margaret (Fraley) Cox. On February 20, 1971 he married Betty Feltner. He served in the United States Navy from 1970-1974. Gary retired from Champion Paper in 2011 after 43 years of service to the company.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; daugther, Rachael (Ronnie); son, Gary (Vicky); nephew, David; nieces, Rhonda and Donna Marie; granddaughter, Hayley; step grandsons, Reid and Hunter; mother in law, Pauline; sister in law, Carol (Dan); brother in law, Mike (Debbie) and numerous other family members. He was preceeded in death by his parents; brother, Harold; sister, Donna; and father in law, Raymond. The family would like to thank the Atrium Medical staff, Hospice of Cincinnati and Mark Curtis for their encourgment and comfort during this hard time.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 31, 2014 at 11 AM, with Minister Charles Anderson officiating, at the Laurel Ave. Church of Christ, 1049 Laurel Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, 45015. Continued food and fellowship will take place in the Fellowship Hall following the service. Memorial donations can be made in Gary’s honor to the Dayton VFW’s.
