Gary L. Shackelford, age 54 of Cincinnati passed away at Mercy Hospital Mt. Airy on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 9:10 AM. He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on October 23, 1958 the son of Clophas and Jeweldine (Reedy) Shackelford. Gary was employed in carpet installation at Shackelford Flooring.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Shackelford; two daughters, Rebecca Shackelford and Erica (Richard) Usher; his parents, Clophas and Jeweldine Shackelford; five grandchildren, Savannah, Valencia, Ziona, Mac, and Gansen; three brothers, Michael (Becky) Shackelford, Tim (Leesha) Shackelford, and Brian (Lissa) Shackelford; two sisters, Julie (Ken) Chesnut and Shelly (Scott) Schloss; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 12:00 AM. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM.
