Gayle A. Korb

Gayle A. Korb (Vaughn), age 73 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, July 13, 2017. Gayle was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 14,1943 to Roland Vaughn and Anna Mae (Renners) Vaughn. A graduate of Notre Dame High School (Class of ‘61), she worked as a X-Ray and Mammography Technician at Mercy Hospital (Hamilton & Fairfield). Gayle will always be remembered as a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will also be remembered for her sense of humor, her crafting and sewing talents and her love of animals and nature. She will be greatly missed by family, friends an her loyal pets Chase, Eddie and Pearl.

Gayle is survived by her husband of 53 years James Korb, her daughter, Denise Brucchieri (Louis Stukenborg), her son Stephen (Jennifer Meeks-Korb), her grandson, Drew Korb and sister, Janet Lubbers (John). She was preceded in death by her parents (Roland and Anna Mae) and her aunts and uncles.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Hamilton for the professional compassionate care that they provided Gayle. The family suggest memorial contributions be directed to Hospice of Hamilton and Sacred Heart Church.

Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Rd., Fairfield, Ohio, on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
