Geertje Kugel

Geertje Kugel, age 85 of London, passed away at Madison House Care Facility on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Geertje was born in Wormer, The Netherlands, on November 1, 1937 to Gerrit and Johanna Wouters. She married William R Kugel on June 16, 1956 who was the love of her life for 63 years.

She retired from the Ohio Casualty Group and enjoyed painting, crafts, and her joy of genealogy. Geertje loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and spending time at the lake.

Geertje is survived by her sons, William Robert (Kathleen) Kugel Jr. and James Robert (Teresa) Kugel; her grandchildren, William Robert (Sarah) Kugel III, Nicholas James (Randi) Kugel, Jonathan Adam (Taylor) Kugel, Ashley Nicole (Harrison) Bullock, and Matthew Paul (Lauren) Kugel; great-grandchildren, Owen Kugel, Layla Kugel, Lillian Kugel, Clyde Bullock, Weston Bullock and Adam Kugel; sister, Joann Wouters; sister-in-law, Jo Beth Kugel; and numerous other family and friends. Geertje was preceded in death by her husband; parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Frosina and Howard Wollerton; brother-in-law, Robert Kugel; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris and George Conover.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Marshall Duke officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Vitas.
