Gene Bales

Gene Bales, age 67 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Friday, January 23, 2015. He was born in Mckee, Kentucky on March 23, 1947 to James and Dorothy (Ward) Bales. On April 16, 1966 he married Cindie Johnson in Hamilton, Ohio. Gene worked for Twin City Market for over 20 years, Velvet Ice Cream for 17 years and Marsh Super Market for three years and retired in the fall of 2009. He was a member of the Monkey Mutual Aid Society for over 30 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Cindie Bales, children Rhonda (Tom) Swallow, Tammy L. Bales and Jeff (Angie) Bales; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; his mother Dorothy Farthing; sisters Linda (John) Ball and Shirley Barker and one brother Tony (Patty) Bales; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceeded in death by his father, step mother Mary Bales and his son Joseph Bales.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers monetary contributions/cards can be made to the Bales family.
