Geneva Chitwood

Geneva Chitwood, age 81 of Hamilton passed away in Butler County Care Facility on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 10:45 AM. She was born in Tinsley, Kentucky on April 16, 1927 the daughter of Fred and Carrie (Hembree) Wilson. Geneva was a member of the Cherry Valley United Baptist Church. On December 14, 1946 in Covington, Kentucky she was married to Ray Chitwood, and he preceded her in death in 2006.

She is survived by two sons, Coney (Vickie) Chitwood and David (Donna) Chitwood, both of Hamilton; one brother, Willis (Bonnie) Wilson of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Melissa McKee of Hamilton, Heather Renee (Sid) Isaacs of Hamilton, Rachel (Jay) Radford of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Adam (Jen) Chitwood of Hamilton, and Andrew (Jamie) Fenoglio of Cincinnati; also eight great-grandchildren, Bryson, Gibson, Colton, Cody, Craig, Wade, Grayson, and Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kevin Lee Chitwood in 1964 and Fred Ray Chitwood in 1986; and by one brother, Edward Wilson; and a great-grandchild, Eastyn.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Clophas Shackelford of Cherry Valley United Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
