Geneva Tirey

Geneva Tirey, age 83 of Seven Mile passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. She was born in Carry, Kentucky on June 30, 1929 the daughter of Kaine and Peggy (Smith) Roark. Geneva was a member of Seven Mile Baptist Church. On February 2, 1949 she married Walter Tirey. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Geneva was a caregiver to those in the Seven Mile area. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Tirey; daughters, Rebecca (Benjamin) Hernandez, Carol (Gary) Allen, Deborah (Ronald) Hendel, and Althea "Kaye" Harris; grandchildren, Gary Ray, Jacqueline, Sarah, Alisa, Rhonda, Joseph, Roxanna, and Joanna; and great grandchildren, Jake, Christopher, Brady, Joseph, Joel, Caleb, Landon, Jaxson, Mila, Violet, Ethan, David, Dylan, and Julia. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Victoria, Arthur and Mitchell; and great grandson, Samuel.

Visitation will be 10am until time of service (12noon) Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue with Pastor Everett Back of Seven Mile Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
