George L. Robertson Jr.

George L. Robertson Jr., age 79 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 12:15 PM. He was born in Hamilton on March 15, 1934 to George and Dorothy (Brummitt) Robertson. George was a retired United States Air Force Veteran of 20 years. He was a member of AMVETS Post #71, American Legion Post #138 and VFW Post #1069. He was a mechanic at Days Sunoco for 17 years, retiring in 1996. On December 21, 1974 in Jacksonville, Florida he married Hilda Faye Davis, and she preceded him in death on May 5, 2011.

He is survived by four children, George L. (Tiffany) Robertson III, Wesley (Debra) George, Karen M. (Earl) Campbell, and Terry (Sandra) Banfield; grandchildren, George L. Robertson IV, Madison C. Robertson, Donnovan L. Campbell, Jordan A. Campbell, Aaron Campbell, Elizabeth Campbell, Joshua J. Bruce, and Jacob I. Banfield; great-grandchildren, Layla Campbell and Jocelyn Lynch; one sister, Lois Geary; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Jerry Lee Robertson and Fern Warren.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 10AM with Pastor Ron Small of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Worship Center officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
