George M. Stephens, age 74 of Hamilton, passed away at University of Cincinnati on Sunday, December 16, 2018. George was born in Whitley Co., Kentucky on June 23, 1944 to Dewey Stephens and Etna (Hamlin) Stephens. George was a truck driver for over 45 years. His greatest joy in life was his family, and his dog Pandy.
George is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley Stephens; five children, Shonda Whitaker, Marty Stephens, Mike (Kim) Stephens, Shivonna (Paul) Vaughn, Jason (Tammy) Stephens; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three siblings, Harold Stephens, Ida (Eldon) Kerr, and Nancy Strunk. George was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willard Stephens and Clifford Stephens; one sister, Thelma Strunk; and one grandson Jerry Whitaker.
Funeral service will be held at Calvary Christian Center, 2355 Jacksonburg Road, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Glen Thomas and Ed Bowden officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Calvary Christian Center.
