George Wells, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. He was born in Hamilton on August 27, 1929 to Elbert and Susan (Abrams) Wells. George owned and operated Wells Electric for 15 years. He was employed as Electrical Inspector for Butler County and co-owner of Duffy’s Tavern. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Bippus-DeBord) Wells; children, Kenneth (Judy) Leathers, Charlie Wells, Vickie DeBord-Dean, Cyndi DeBord-Holloway and Stephen (Lori) DeBord; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to give a special thank you to Chaplain Larry, Deanna, Priscilla and all the staff at Hospice of Hamilton.
Visitation will be 11am until time of service (1pm), Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton.
