Georgene Sue Gahm

Georgene Sue Gahm, age 78 of Ransom, IL. Passed away peacefully on Thursday ,August 28, at Hospice in Hamilton OH. Georgene was born February 25, 1936 in Streator IL, to parents George and Susan (Bresney) Elko. She attended St Stephens , Streator High School and Normal University. In 1957 she married Richard (Dick) Gahm of Ransom,where she resided most of her life. She was a member of St Patricks Church in Ransom. Georgene was a wonderful mother ,elegant,talented & creative . She is survived by her children, Linda Kalyris and Marc Gahm, her former spouse Dick Gahm, grandchildren Megan Theetge, Adam Gahm, and Leia Goodpaster, greatgrand children Brady, Owen, Eli,and Eleece, her brothers, George Elko and Jack Kutches, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Genevieve Matsko,and Marianne Eccleston , her brothers Clarence (Curly) Kutches,Raymond Kutches,and Richard Kutches , and her nephew Shane Elko. Georgene courageously endured 32 years of Parkinson’s with the help of many friends and her family. We sincerely express our gratitude. A celebration of her life will be held at Chippers in Streator, IL from 12:30pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
