Georgia Ethyl Reiff

Georgia Ethyl Reiff, age 91 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 4:37 PM. She was born in Crab Orchard, Kentucky on January 10, 1916 the daughter of George Washington and Cuba Anna (Lowry) Tuggle. Georgia was employed as the manager of Chatham Square Apartments and attended Baptist Church. On December 24, 1932 she married Arthur S. Reiff, and was a very dedicated and supportive wife to former Butler County Commissioner Reiff until he preceded her in death in 1978.

She is survived by two sons, Arthur F. Reiff of Ft. Myers, Florida and Adrian Reiff of Bradenton, Florida; a daughter, Amy (Ronnie) Mathis of Hamilton; eight grandchildren, Scott Reiff, Kelley Reiff, Kim (Russ) Coombs, Todd Reiff, Brent Reiff, Steve (Rebekah) Mathis, Kevin (Angie) Mathis, and Forrest Reiff; five great-grandchildren, Kayla Mathis, Courtney Mathis, Hannah Mathis, Mark Bartsch, and Ziah Francis; a great-great-granddaughter, Alyssa Bartsch; and special friends with whom she spent many happy hours crafting, Mary Katherine and Vernon Arnold; and Eileen Morrison, whom Georgia’s family thanks for her loving care and support. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Sylvester Reiff.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Tim Mullins of Greenhills Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Georgia’s family extends a special thank you to Dr. William Krall and his nurse Linda for many years of tender care, and to the staff at Tri-County Extended Care Center for their wonderful care.
